State of the game - September 2025

This month, we’re hitting pause to look back at the wild ride of Drifter’s Tales, and give you a sneak peek at what’s coming next. Oh, and guess what? We’ve got a shiny new website too!

A new website

If you’ve been hanging around our site for a while, this makeover probably won’t shock you, we had to give it a fresh coat of magic to match our new way of crafting games in The First Spine universe.

The new site now runs on a content management system (fancy, right?), which means we can whip up more goodies like the Card of the Month you spotted earlier. More stories, more cards, more chaos, coming your way!

Drifter’s Tales entered his sunset phase

We’ve wrapped up the latest updates for Drifter’s Tales, and it’s now officially joining our Hall of Legends, aka our sunsetted games. But don’t worry, we’re not done telling stories like this one. In fact, we’re already brewing up new ideas… maybe even a sequel (shhh 🤫).

And no, we’re not pulling the plug! Drifter’s Tales will stay live on Steam and Android for good. You might even catch it on sale now and then, keep an eye out during the next Steam Autumn Sale!

We are moving on to Arena

Say hello to Arena, our next big adventure!

We’ve taken this legacy game, dusted it off, and reimagined it into something totally fresh. If you’re expecting a simple board game port… think again. This is a whole new beast, built to bring fast-paced, online battles straight to your screen.

With Arena now deep in development and officially content-locked (yep, we know exactly what’s going in!), our minds are already wandering toward the next big thing for next year.

We’ve got so many stories waiting to burst out of The First Spine universe that we thought, why not share some of them with you in a whole new way? That’s right, we’re cooking up some fresh reads to dive deeper into the lore, the characters, and all the weird, wonderful corners of this world.

Stay tuned… the bookshelf of The First Spine is about to get a lot more crowded!
