State of the game: January 2026
This month, we're excited to share some important news about Arena, which is now entering its final stretch before early access. After several months of intensive work, the game is starting to take the shape we envisioned, and the coming weeks promise to be particularly exciting.
Arena: a demo is coming soon
The Arena demo has just been submitted to and approved by Steam. It will be available starting February 9th. This first public version was designed to offer a representative preview of the full game experience, while allowing players to explore different strategic approaches through two distinct locations.
The first part was designed to welcome new players. It features a set of intentionally simple cards to allow everyone to discover the essential mechanics, fundamental rules, and initial possible combinations at their own pace. The goal is to create an accessible and reassuring environment where you can experiment without pressure.
The second part, meanwhile, showcases a more advanced game, featuring significantly more powerful and varied cards. Its purpose is to reveal the full potential of Arena's deckbuilding, demonstrating the tactical richness, strategic depth, and diverse playstyles accessible to more experienced players. This portion of the demo provides a true preview of what the game will offer, particularly in terms of complexity and possibilities.
Steam Neo Fest: we’re in!
We are also pleased to confirm that Arena will be part of Steam Neo Fest. The event will take place from February 23 to March 2, 2026, and will be a key opportunity to introduce the game to a wider audience. During this period, we will regularly stream live matches on Twitch to showcase not only gameplay but also how the mechanics flow and interact throughout a match:
- Advanced Demo Play - Daily
- Game Dev - February 24th and 27th
- Advanced Play - February 25th and 28th
- Endgame Activities - February 26th and March 1st
We are also planning special sessions where you can watch a live look at part of the development process. This will be an opportunity to go behind the scenes, share our team's daily life, and explain some of the design decisions that shape the Arena experience.
A facelift for Arena, and a release window
Over the past few weeks, we have held several private sessions with partners to gather as much constructive feedback as possible. These discussions were extremely valuable and allowed us to revisit several essential aspects of the game.
From a content perspective, we've added 32 new maps, bringing the total available at the Early Access launch to 92. This addition significantly expands the range of possible strategies and enhances replayability from the very first hours. Visually and ergonomically, the user interface has been completely redesigned. We've improved readability, clarified numerous elements, and increased the base resolution to offer an interface perfectly suited to 4K screens, while maintaining excellent fluidity.
We're eager to unveil all these improvements during Early Access, which will follow the Steam Neo Fest. This will be a pivotal moment for Arena, and we look forward to seeing you there to build the next chapter of the adventure together.
